About the HEC MBA
The HEC MBA (Full-Time, Part-Time)
HEC Paris MBA: Europe’s Premier Business School
With more Alumni in CEO positions than any other continental Business School, HEC Paris is the Alma Mater of CEOs in Europe: many multinational companies such as L’Oréal, Kering and BestBuy are led by HEC Paris MBA Alumni, and 11 of the CAC40 (the 40 highest market caps on the Paris stock exchange) have an HEC alumnus at their head.
As well as gaining access to our Alumni network of 47,000 worldwide, our students benefit from HEC Paris’ proximity to La Défense, the epicenter of European Business with the highest concentration of MNC headquarters on the continent. Our MBA students are at the forefront of Business innovation, acting as ‘connectors’ for international businesses and implementing their global strategy locally around the globe.
Throughout their MBA program, our students constantly come into contact with different backgrounds and nationalities: our 200-strong student body is made up of 85% international students, whilst the course itself also offers opportunities for international exposure. Our thorough and selective Admissions process ensures that we attract only the highest potential candidates, whilst also making sure that our student body is as diverse as it is talented.
Our new curriculum, redesigned in partnership with Bain and Company, has two phases: the Fundamental and the Customized Phase. During the Fundamental Phase, students are taught key business concepts as our top-quality teaching ensures that our students attain a solid knowledge. During the Customized Phase, students are able to benefit from the flexible nature of the program and tailor their MBA to meet their individual professional goals, choosing from a range of Fieldwork Projects, electives and specializations. They also have the opportunity to partake in an International Exchange or Double Degree - we have over 40 alliances with leading institutions around the world, including MIT, London School of Economics and NUS.
At HEC Paris MBA, the focus is on experiential learning. Students are given many opportunities to practice their leadership skills outside of the classroom with events such as the student-organized MBA Tournament and the Off-Campus Leadership Seminar at the elite St Cyr military academy. Our students graduate with an adaptable skillset which can be molded to fit any position in any company anywhere in the world, as our Careers Management Center works to prepare students for their lifelong career and not just their first job after graduation.
As one of the founding members and the only Business School of the Paris-Saclay Innovation Cluster - ranked as one of the most influential Innovation Clusters in the world by MIT Technology Review - HEC Paris has an important role to play in Business Innovation. Paris-Saclay brings HEC Paris together with top French research companies and businesses, allowing our students to draw upon their expertise. Our newly redesigned Entrepreneurship and Innovation specialization within the MBA program works to give our students the knowledge and experience needed to launch their own successful start-ups; a process aided by our new eLab which unites cutting-edge technology with world-leading expertise in a space where budding entrepreneurs meet to share ideas.
Our ability to create Business leaders has been proven: 89% of our 2013 graduating class found work within 3 months of graduation, with Amazon, McKinsey and Unilever amongst our top MBA recruiters.
