The EUPRIO Award was presented at the Stresa conference in the begínning of September. France took the two first places, Germany came third.
During the Stresa-Conference in September EUPRIO, for the second time, awarded prizes to the three best ideas and measures of communications among its member universities. Marie-Catherine Mouchot and her team from Telecom Bretagne (F) won this award with their project “Minute of the Researcher”, with the idea of introducing new professors and their work to the colleagues as well as the scientific fields of their university to the public with short video podcasts. For the Jury this is a very good example of combining both fields of communication – internal and external – in a smart and modern way.

The second prize went to France as well. Anne Fuynel and her team from Grenoble École de Management won it for their internet and social media-based project “Time to Anticipate”, to recruit new master students. Toni Wimmer and his team from RWTH Aachen University won the third prize for the idea and the establishment of the “European Science Parliament” in Aachen.

An idea is growing
This year the Jury had the honourable duty, to evaluate nine different proposals from six universities in four countries and the Awards Ceremony was a main part of the Gala Dinner held on the last evening of this year’s EUPRIO Conference in Stresa. With this Award, EUPRIO wants to encourage its members to present their best practice projects of university communication to colleagues throughout the European Higher Education Area.
