Funny MBA Stories

Mr. Espanol

Even his Colombian kidnappers couldn't stand his tales from Gringo-land and turned him in. On a campus near you.

Ola amigos

Ola amigos

Although not himself Hispanic or from a Spanish-speaking country, he believes that the six months he spent studying abroad during undergrad entitles him to speak to everyone else at school in broken Spanish, even if it’s completely inappropriate or marginally offensive

Who?

Mr. Español

Resume to date?

International consulting. Although he did all of his business in English, he would sometimes spend a few days in Mexico, which makes him an expert.

Commonly found?

In the hallways, trying to speak with the students from Latin America, not really following the conversation, but eager to hang out “mas tarde”.

20 years on?

Doing business development for a firm in Cleveland, reminiscing about all his great B-School amigos.

Most likely to say?

“Hola, me llamo...por favor!”

Least likely to say?

“Of course I know Brazil isn’t Spanish speaking!”

Blows his loan on?

Foreign language tapes that he never really listens to.

Eats?

Tacos and ketchup.
