Thinking Of An MBA In France? EMLYON Offers Something A Little Different

BusinessBecause attended EMLYON’s information session in London on March 14th, which was hosted at Kaplan's GMAT prep school near Leicester Square.
EMLYON’s Head of Marketing for graduate programmes, Wendy Hediard, hosted the event and explained why EMLYON as a great location for anyone who wants an international career in business.
For those in the know, EMLyon is well-renowned, especially in Europe and Asia. The school has produced scores of high profile alumni, including the current CEOs of Schneider Electric and Nike France. The number of EM Lyon graduates heading up divisions of major investment banks is also impressive.
The schools has a strong focus on entrepreneurship, and partnerships with four Chinese universities, including the prestigious CEIBS in Shanghai.
Students and alumni from a range of the school's programs were on hand to talk about their experiences. The programs represented included the MSc Luxury Management & Marketing, Global Entrepreneurship Programme, European Master in Management, MSc Management and the International MBA.
The speakers had come to EMLYON from over five different countries, including India and the US, and had backgrounds ranging from automobile marketing to textiles.
The event was followed by an hour of hors d’oeuvres, networking and the chance for attendees to speak to the students and graduates of the school.

I think the school has been misrepresented here. It has no reputation in Asia at all. Not even in Shanghai where it has a small campus.
It may be an excellent school in France & for French people but for international MBA students it is not worth it since the school's careers department is highly impotent and comprises of highly ignorant people who have no clue about the responsibilities of an international school's careers department. The school has an excellent MBA program but most international students return to their home countries because they get no support from the school whatsoever in looking for a job.
