Cutting Edge B-Schools Line-Up At Virtual MBA Fair
London Business School, Judge Cambridge and Warwick among UK schools ready to meet applicants online at GMATCH
The virtual MBA fair saw students from more than 125 countries logged on
Interacting with more than 50 business schools from the comfort of your home: that’s what the GMATCH Virtual MBA Fair was all about. Organised by the Graduate Management Admission Council (GMAC), the no-fee fair allowed interaction between students and schools simply via the internet.
Prospective MBA students from more than 125 countries logged on to the international MBA fair on November 22 and 23, which featured 56 of the world's best business schools.
Exhibiting schools included London Business School, INSEAD, IMD, HEC Paris, Cambridge Judge Business School, Nanyang Business School, the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology, CEIBS, the University of Virginia's Darden School of Business, Georgetown University's McDonough School of Business, and the UCLA Anderson
Warwick Business School, currently ranked 9th in the UK by the FT, participated in both a pilot online fair and the GMATCH fair.
Heather Broadbent, Assistant Manager of MBA Marketing and Recruitment at Warwick Business School, said the School was delighted to be a part of the GMATCH Virtual MBA Fair for the second time in 2010.
“This exciting event enables us to reach candidates in all areas of the world ensuring that they can ask questions of our team of Warwick MBA admissions coordinators at a convenient time for them.”
She described the candidates at GMATCH as “interesting and diverse”.

I don't know how I feel about things like school or job fairs taking place online rather than in person - I mean, sure it's convenient if it's taking place in a city other than where you live, but sometimes - isn't it nice to participate in something that doesn't force you to compete with EVERYONE on the planet? For this situation though, it's a great event - but in general can't something remain in the real world?
