10 places and two £17k scholarships on full-time MBA for British students with up to three years of work experience

Manchester Business School is offering two scholarships for its MBA program to British students with first class undergraduate degrees and up to three years of work experience

Manchester Business School (MBS) is looking for up to five young British men and women who are “very talented high-flyers.” These candidates, if selected, will be given admission to the full-time MBA program and additionally be considered for two scholarship awards, worth more than £17,000.

Professor Elaine Ferneley, MBA Director at Manchester Business School, said: “The recession has opened up a debate about the future challenges Britain faces in the global business world. We believe there is a great need to invest in and develop young British talent that can rise to those future challenges.

“We hope by opening up our MBA program to five exceptional young British candidates we will give them the chance to fast-track their career in business.”

This is all with the aim of nurturing and fast-tracking future talent by providing full-time MBA opportunities for individuals with less work experience than the normal successful candidate.

What the successful Brits will lack in age and extensive job experience, they will make up for in talent. The requirements for the program include:

Learning Ability and Achievements
1. First class Honors degree in any subject and GCSE Mathematics, minimum grade B.
2. Be a balanced individual with strong achievements outside the academic environment
3. 2nd language to a competent level: GCSE level or above.

Experience
1. Up to three years’ post-graduation professional work experience, demonstrating average performance compared to peers.
2. Alternatively, if you haven no formal full-time work experience, you should ideally have taken an internship or work placement as part of your degree, an exchange program abroad or gap year spent volunteering.
