China Europe International Business School is running a Summer Pre-MBA Boot Camp in July 2015, which lasts for five days starting on July 8. CEIBS is ranked at 11 in the latest Financial Times global MBA ranking.
As part of an elite group, participants will live in and experience China and the CEIBS MBA to the fullest. The program exposes participants to the CEIBS MBA curriculum with some of the business school’s most distinguished professors. They will also have the opportunity to dive into Shanghai life and China’s unique business culture.
The week-long boot camp will provide an introduction to the CEIBS’ case study method of learning; a session on career planning in Asia; networking and soft skills development; and company visits which include meeting top executives.
There will also be a student and alumni experience sharing session.
Last year 60 participants sampled the Shanghai lifestyle, representing 22 countries and a diverse range of backgrounds.
Martin Gibisch, who is from Germany and participated in last year’s boot camp, said: “The program is a unique opportunity to gain value insight into CEIBS. Marilyn Waite, a former summer schooler who is from Jamaica and the US, said: “The CEIBS Boot Camp gave participants a taste of both traditional finance and wider market themes – including conducting business in China.
“In addition, we were able to visit different companies and operations in Shanghai, which provided us [with] a better understanding of the business ecosystem. The most enriching component was meeting the other participants from various backgrounds.”
The boot camp costs Rmb7,850 ($1,264). The sum covers the cost of 4-star accommodation, all activities, and transport and insurance. This excludes airport transfers and flights to and from Shanghai.
