Lancaster University Management School has teamed up with Kevin Roberts, CEO of advertising giant Saatchi & Saatchi, to develop the judgement and decision-making skills of the Lancaster MBA students.
Roberts has been CEO of Saatchi & Saatchi since 1997, through the 2000 takeover of the firm by France's Publicis Groupe. He is a local boy, having been expelled from Lancaster Royal Grammar School age 16 in the mid-1960s.
The course is part of Lancaster’s Mindful Manager programme, which aims to produce exceptional managers who are able to deal with the tensions and complexities of global business.
Roberts will provide students with all the current business details of Saatchi & Saatchi and ask them to help him determine what his top priorities should be as CEO.
The Lancaster MBA is one of the few worldwide that gives students a chance to work with the CEO of a major global business in making real time decisions.
The course is a chance for Lancaster MBAs to learn first hand what it takes to be a global CEO, according to MBA Director Chris Saunders.
Thanks for sharing this. This is a truelly nice potted history of Kevin Roberts' career. I am sure their team work will develop the judgement and decision-making skills of the Lancaster MBA students.
