If you're heading to a US business school, as well as mugging up on finance and accounting and doing millions of job applications, you might be roped into learning how to lip sync and back-up dance.
Follies are an annual tradition at most US universities. Students get to show off their singing and comedy talents, while sending up the professors who have been whipping their behinds all year.
These sketches can be cringeworthy. But a lengthy YouTube investigation by BusinessBecause has unearthed what might be the best b-school follies ever, thanks to one geeky-looking member of Columbia Business School's class of 2005. The lanky business student decided to take off none other than Columbia's formidable Dean, former chief economist to President George W. Bush, Glenn Hubbard.
Check "Hubbard" moaning about missing out on the chairmanship of the Federal Reserve, to the tune of "Every Breath You Take". And getting down on campus like Vanilla Ice.
Who is this impersonator? And have there been any follies as good as this since the financial crisis? Somehow we doubt it...
