For the 22nd consecutive year, MBA students from the Cranfield School of Management are organising their annual regatta. The oldest of its kind in Europe, the Cranfield Regatta is a fantastic opportunity for both business school students and alumni to compete, have fun, network, and enjoy the sun on the splendid Solent off the southern coast of England.
The regatta takes place over the weekend of 5-7 July 2013. The schedule of the regatta highlights teamwork, fun and networking as key aspects of the weekend; two days of sailing and tough competition will be spiced up by a welcome BBQ in Port Solent on Friday, and a themed ball at the beautiful Cowes Yacht Haven on the Isle of Wight on Saturday. Not only is the event a great opportunity to network, but also a memorable lifetime experience.
Run by current MBA students, the Cranfield Regatta is one of the premier global MBA sporting events bringing together more than 200 business school students and alumni across the world; not only is it a fantastic networking opportunity, but also a memorable experience. Nick Almond, a serving officer in the Royal Navy, current MBA student and head of the organising committee says: “It has been a great honour to organise this year’s regatta and my team and I are all looking forward to welcoming this year’s participants; the sailing will be amazing and the parties even better!”
This year, the Cranfield committee has expanded the pool of global participants to include schools from the United States as well as top European business schools. Crews will be accommodated on their boats under the watchful eye of experienced certified racing skippers, with each boat participating in a variety of races during the day, before enjoying the on shore festivities in the evening.
Boats are still available – we are welcoming MBAs past and present from worldwide business schools as well as corporate entries.
