2009 was the year CEIBS Idol was born

The first CEIBS Idols were born this year! The event took place in Haoledi KTV. About 40 people were there to support their friends including Sunna Lu and Rita Wong from the MBA office.
There were two categories: English songs and Chinese songs. Participants took turns to perform and the order was determined by draw to ensure fairness. Judging was divided into three parts: voting from the audience, scoring by a judging panel (Abhijit Chitnis, Rita Wong and Victor Wu) and voting by participants. The three parts were weighted equally.
All the singers sang exceptionally well and that proved CEIBS got talent! Especially Puneet and Jitesh, who sang without any background music. The Indians have got the music gene in them!! After some excellent performances, the CEIBS Idols were born:
JESS ZHANG (English songs) and JAMES WANG (Chinese songs)!
Certificates issued by the Music Club were presented to both the Idols and they are now officially the Idols of the school!! Hopefully the CEIBS IDOL will become part of CEIBS culture and can be passed on to the next generations.
