Copenhagen Business School has earned an AACSB International accreditation, putting it among 50 other business schools in the world that are triple-accredited, the highest achievement for any business school. The other accreditations that the school holds are the AMBA and EQUIS.
Ecstatic Full-time MBA Program Admissions Manager, Lee Milligan believes this is good news for the Full-time MBA program because the AACSB is, “A real international and wide recognition of the quality of the school and the Full-time MBA Program,” he says.
Only a total of 633 business schools (less than 5% of business schools) in 40 countries maintain the AACSB International accreditation and CBS is the first in Denmark to earn this accreditation for business education.
The accreditation itself can take years to complete while the applying school develops and implements a plan to meet the AACSB requirements. Among the requirements for accreditation by AACSB International are:
• A High-quality teaching environment
• A commitment to continuous improvement, and
• Curricula that are responsive to business needs
The accrediting body has congratulated CBS president, Alan Irwin and CBS. According to executive vice president and chief accreditation officer at AACSB International, Jerry Trapnell, “It takes a great deal of self evaluation and determination to earn AACSB Accreditation, and I commend Copenhagen Business School for its dedication to management education, as well as its leadership in becoming the first school in Denmark to earn accreditation,”
