Undergraduate Business Program Among Best Schools in Bloomberg Businessweek Specialty Ranking

WASHINGTON – The George Washington University School of Business (GWSB) has one of the top international business programs in the nation, according to the most recent specialty ranking from Bloomberg Businessweek. GWSB’s international business curriculum for undergraduates is ranked eighth in the nation. The undergraduate program was also ranked 21 for corporate strategy.

“At the GW School of Business, our students are taught to act responsibly, lead passionately and think globally,” said Doug Guthrie, dean of GWSB and professor of management and international business. “This latest ranking reflects our efforts to educate students who truly understand what it means to lead in the global economy.”

As part of Bloomberg Businessweek’s annual ranking of the top undergraduate business programs, students assigned letter grades to 14 specialty areas within their program. Based on those grades, scores were calculated for schools in each specialty area.

“Our undergraduate program is consistently recognized for its high academic standards and the global perspective our students gain while at GW,” said Lawrence Singleton, GWSB associate dean for undergraduate programs.

GW’s School of Business prepares students for professional management careers. The depth and variety of its academic and professional programs, including five specialized master’s programs, provide rich opportunities for students in the school’s core bachelor of business administration, master of business administration, and doctoral programs.

Tina, thank you. It is for undergraduates, correct. However, both programs are consistently given high marks for international business.

this ranking is for the undergraduate course, correct? not the mba? or both?

I am planning to apply for the Essentials of Management Program at the University of St. Gallen. As I do not have enough experience for the Part-time MBA Program (which is definitely my long-term plan), I was recommended to do this course because I really want and need to continue my studies in order to gain more competitive advantages.
