The George Washington University School of Business (GWSB) has one of the top MBA programs in the nation, according to rankings released today by U.S. News & World Report. GWSB’s full-time MBA program ranked 52 in the 2011 “America’s Best Graduate Schools” ranking, up from 55th in 2010. The School’s part-time MBA program is ranked 36th.
“The recognition of our business program reflects our efforts to teach our students to act responsibly, lead passionately and think globally,” said Doug Guthrie, dean of the school. “Our location at the intersection of business and politics gives students the ability to not only study the world, but to work to change it.”
U.S. News surveyed 437 accredited business schools to come up with its ranking of the top schools in the nation. The ranking includes a number of factors such as quality assessment score, a peer assessment score, a recruiter score, employment rates, mean starting salaries and student selectivity.
The magazine’s part-time MBA rankings are based on a survey of business school deans and MBA program directors at 295 part-time M.B.A. programs.
“These rankings demonstrate our academic vision and our efforts to strengthen the GW School of Business,” said Liesl Riddle, associate dean of MBA programs. “We focus on teaching excellence, scholarly research and innovative curricula to deliver an outstanding education to our students.”
