Collegiate boat race, a perfect mixture of strength, teamwork spirit and nature, is a traditional athletic competition first contested between Cambridge and Oxford. The annual Harvard–Yale Regatta has also carried on for more than a century. Now in China, more and more rowing races between universities have been seen over the decade which carries friendship and enhances partnership.

On May 22, as the Chinese traditional Dragon Boat Festival approaching, SAIF MBA, on behalf of Shanghai Jiao Tong University, was invited to join the MBA Dragon Boat Race of Shanghai Universities 2011 hosted by the MBA Association of East China University of Science and Technology in their Fengxian Campus.

There were 10 teams competing in the 500-meter boat race including those from Fudan University, Tongji University and international students from East China University of Science and Technology. A total of 300 people attended the ceremony. SAIF rowers finished the first with only 1 minute and 5 seconds in the first time trial and ranked second only to Fudan University in the final ranking round.

This is the second appearance of SAIF among Shanghai MBA peers since the Sunshine Cup Sports Game of Shanghai Universities 2010. These sports games not only demonstrate the athletic prowess of MBA students but also consolidate the bond between business schools for more and deeper exchanges.
