As a website dedicated to Apple and their products appleuncovered.com is always interested in what others have to say about their experience with Apple so when we had the chance to interview Kirti Dhingra, an MBA graduate and editor/writer for websites delhiplanet.com, a business, entertainment and news resource and globalmasala.com, "the world’s first entertainment news and celebrity gossip publication featuring content from both Hollywood and Bollywood" we did so with great pleasure.

Business and Apple

Being a businessman means keeping up with the latest news, consuming digital media and having access to certain features which meant a smartphone was what Kirti really needed. Of the matter, he said "I was in the US in 2008 and was looking to buy a Smartphone. At that point of time, Android wasn’t that popular and feature rich and the iPhone 3G was the must have device. I really enjoyed having an iPhone and used it extensively and thereafter became an Apple advocate. I was once again in the US finishing up my MBA when the iPad was announced. I followed Steve Jobs's presentation of the iPad in late January 2010 and even did a report on it for one of my classes. I thus had to buy one when it launched."

With the new iPad in his possession Mr. Dhingra was able to download various news apps such as "NYTimes and Reuters" along with "Social Networking Apps like Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIN, Foursquare" at the tap of a screen and recommended it to "Business men and anyone who spends a lot of time travelling"

Due to being an "Early adopter" Kirti has since replaced his paper newspapers with a digital, 10-inch screen. For those who spend a lot of time travelling we can imagine this is a good way to live. However, according to Kirti "for the older generations I believe paper will be their preferred format".

As a traveller himself, Kirti is, of course, a big user of the virtual keyboard and believes that despite mixed opinions it is a fine creation. Our writers at Apple Uncovered would have to agree with this statement.

BusinessBecause and students

As a businessman himself Kirti is a user of businessbecause.com which connects MBA graduates, employers and current students. The Facebook of business, if you will. It's a site which helps new business men and women get their name "out there", helping them to gain experience and further their career.

We asked how much luck he has had with the site and how it has helped him with his new career to which he replied "The site has a good concept and is improving with time" and that when looking for work and connections "There were some interesting opportunities that were advertised on the site that I applied to and was able to touch base with the hiring managers. I also used the site to contact current MBA students who had worked in companies of my choice previously. They helped to provide me with a perspective of those organizations and helped reach out to their contacts in the company to get an idea of possible opportunities."

If you are considering becoming business student yourself, our interviewee believes that "Experience is what matters if you want to get a job, so getting some experience will be great if they can manage it"

The advice he gave us for students approaching the end of their studies would be to "make the most of your time as a student, it will never come back again. If you don’t have a job then don’t lose heart and keep looking . . . You will find a job eventually". He believes that the iPad is a good replacement for laptops in the classroom "as it is thin, light and pretty much allows students to do the basic things they need to do while attending a lecture".

Although we haven't yet had the chance to use it in a classroom or lecture environment we can agree that the iPad does indeed provide excellent resources for students and anyone whose daily work requires lots of research or writing. From word processors too RSS feed readers, there's something for every niche.

Beyond business

As this was an interview conducted by a website dedicated to Apple we felt the need to push Kirti on his views of Apple products, what he currently owns and plans to own in the near future and if he is now converted. He told us that "The iPod is my lifeline. I keep abreast of the latest music trends and load all the new songs on my iPhone regularly . . . I don’t think [the iPad is the be all and end all of gadgets], there is always room and scope for greater innovation. Like Steve Jobs says “Its not the customer's job to know what they want”."

Is he converted yet? "Not 100% since I still use a PC as my laptop. But hopefully I will be converted completely to Apple in another two years unless Tim Cook does something drastic to the company."

Apple Uncovered would like to thank Kirti for his time. We would also like to guide you to the following websites: www.delhiplanet.com and www.globalmasala.com.
