Bio

Recently graduated from the Masters in Finance programme at the London Business School, I am looking for opportunities to make a difference for the society with my knowledge and professional skills.

Prior to my study at the London Business School, I had been working for more than three years as a business manager in the China Development Bank, where I launched and co-managed the first commercialised microfinance-lending project in China. Within two years after the launching of the project, I helped more than 20,000 micro-borrowers to develop their own business and improve lives of their families. Along with the business development, I was able to improve my professional skills through taking a wide range of responsibilities including strategic planning, financial analysis and project management.

Other than my passion for social change and the related work experience, I also have the quality and skills to face any challenges in the future career. I had developed a high level of analytical and problem-solving ability early since when I was studying as an engineering student in the Tsinghua University, one of the top-ranked universities in China. Now through the rigorous and comprehensive training in the MiF programme at LBS, I have acquired state-of-art knowledge of theories and practices in a variety of relevant areas, including finance, economics, accounting and strategy. In addition to my course work, I consciously followed on the topics and trends in microfinance and other socially responsible business areas through attending various events and seminars. I also helped organise several microfinance events at LBS to promote the concept of microfinance to my fellow students. Recently, I am working on a strategic consulting project for a mid-tier microfinance NGO with operations in Malawi, Zambia, Namibia and Philippine.

Moreover, as an individual, I am proactive and innovative in delivering desired results. As a team member, I am not only easy-going and cooperative, but also disciplined and committed. I hope that you find the enclosed details of interest and deeply appreciate your kind consideration.

Yours Sincerely

Qiaoling Zhang
