We offer a general Liverpool MBA and two sector specialisations: the Football Industries MBA or the Thoroughbred Horseracing Industries MBA.
Our focus is on developing the whole person – as a learner and leader. We teach you not what to think, but how to think. We won’t just equip you with the latest in management theory, but with the skills you need to lead effectively in any organisation.
The core elements of the programmes – leadership, strategy, finance, management consulting, economics,  marketing, innovation, entrepreneurship, international business and the global environment, – are delivered in concentrated blocks and include a sophisticated simulation to encourage a deeper understanding, with a strong emphasis on interactive teaching and learning. The specialist MBA programmes are also comprised of industry specific modules covering areas such as: law and regulation, sponsorship and media, and event management.
You can choose from a number of optional modules which cover a range of business and management disciplines, including: marketing and branding, financial risk management, corporate finance, social enterprise, and operations and supply chain management. This allows you to specialise or develop greater breadth of knowledge.
The Developing as a Manager and a Leader/ Becoming a Football Executive/ Becoming a Horseracing Industries Executive module will also serve to strengthen and hone your interpersonal, communication and leadership abilities. Theory, we believe, has most value when it can be seen working in practice, which is why live case studies and simulations are central to teaching and learning. You’ll also have a range of opportunities to work on real projects for sponsoring organisations through work based projects and the student-led consultancy service.
