UK Business School Of The Year 2017—Times Higher Education Shortlist Revealed

Oxford Saïd and ESCP Europe among six UK-based business schools named

Times Higher Education (THE) has drawn up its shortlist for the UK Business School of the Year 2017 awards. The annual awards are described as the ‘Oscars of the higher education sector’ with the winners set to be announced November 30th.

THE is the leading data provider on higher education and the shortlist has decided by a judging panel made up from education sector experts and professionals who have been looking for bold and creative moves from each of the schools that has helped them thrive over the past year.

To reach the final stages of the awards, each school has had to demonstrate outstanding performance across a range of areas including innovation, teaching, research, student experience, alumni relations and development.

The award’s methodology throws up an eclectic mix of schools which can differ from traditional university rankings, including ESCP Europe, a multi-campus school with a presence in London, as well as Berlin, Madrid, Paris, Turin and Warsaw.

Last year, the University of Strathclyde Business School was proud to claim 2016’s Business School of the Year award.

London’s City University, home to Cass Business School, has performed well across multiple categories, shortlisted for awards in Outstanding University Entrepreneurship, Most Improved Student Experience and University of the Year—surely a good sign for any future Cass MBAs.

With the awards ceremony set to take place at the Grosvenor House Hotel, it promises to bring glitz and glam to the under-celebrated and hardworking teams that help make UK universities and b-schools some of the best in the world.
