NYU Stern, also known as the Leonard N. Stern School of Business, is private, based in NYC and is one of the worlds oldest business schools, dating back to the early 1900's. Students are known as Sternies, and with a low 13% admission rate, it's pretty tough to get in. As with many big city b-schools, Stern has a strong reputation for Finance.
Other top-tier international business schools on the US East Coast include the Tuck School of Business (Hanover, New Hampshire), Duke University's Fuqua School of Business (Durham, North Carolina) and Georgetown McDonough School of Business (Washington DC).
