  • I began my career as an entry level Associate. After nearly 8 years, I left GT Uruguay as a Manager providing accounting and tax services to multinational clients. I led a team of 10 accountants, assisting clients directly. When I left the Company, I reported to two of the Partners directly.
  • Responsibilities:
  • • Prepared and controlled accuracy of client Financial Statements. Controlled the proper accomplishment of internal controls of each client.
  • • Managed complex tax compliance affairs for a large number of clients.
  • • Reviewed and ensured proper filing of tax returns and personally represented clients in IRS audits.
  • • Coached multinationals through the process of penetrating the Uruguayan market and setting up subsidiaries.

As a Secondee I served the International Tax Services sector and reported to the Managing Director of the Transfer Pricing practice.

  • • Assessed and designed tax structures in compliance with both U.S. and foreign regulations to meet client expectations.
  • • Analyzed financial information provided by clients to perform Transfer Pricing analyses, draft legal documentation, and assist with IRS audits.
  • Accomplishments:
  •  Served as primary liaison between Grant Thornton and GTI Latin American member firms, facilitating the execution of joint projects.
  •  Helped the Uruguayan Transfer Pricing team to develop their own procedures and shared best practices from my experience in the USA.
