Sr Pricing/Financial Analyst

  • The AbbVie US Marketing and Sales organization has responsibility for delivering annual financial plan sales and margin. The Pricing and Planning department supports these sales/margin objectives by developing pricing strategy for all major customer groups, and creating and managing contract programs, consistent with overall pricing strategies, that insure goal achievement while maximizing profitability and assuring customer satisfaction.
  • The Pricing and Contracting department has functional responsibility for the analytical support and pricing decisions for all contracts across all channels of the AbbVie US business, which represent over $2,200MM in Sales and in excess of $1,900MM of Standard Margin. Contracting decisions have an indirect spill over impact on total AbbVie US sales of $4,800MM. Primary responsibility for execution of contract business relative to achieving planned margin and price (ASP) goals resides in the Pricing and Contracting department.
  • My responsibilities include:
  • -Pricing, negotiation, review of financial models, and contract writing for pricing deals for key pharmaceutical products
  • -Analyze and evaluate the profitability of Managed Care contracts, including analysis of utilization and market share data for rebate agreements and purchase data for discount contracts.
  • -Recommend pricing strategies on new agreements and contract renewals.
  • -Coordinate the preparation of contract documents to provide total inclusion of all negotiated terms and conditions consistent with good business practices: (I) Ensure that contract terms are consistent with established pricing guidelines. (ii) Ensure that contract terms are consistent with Medicaid Best Price strategies. (iii) Ensure that all contracts have had appropriate level of review by Pricing manager and legal prior to issuing to account.
