Transactional and client relationship management expertise: Whether acting in a financial capacity (at Lazard, advising most notably an Asian strategic investor in the context of a US$120 million equity investment into a European-based Liquefied Natural Gas terminal project or, at RBC Capital Markets, advising most notably a leading Canadian satellite radio operator following the merger of the two American satellite radio operators) or in a legal capacity (at Stikeman Elliott, Canada's leading international business law firm, advising most notably Danaher in its C$247m takeover of Ontario-based Trojan Technologies, Bain Capital in its C$1b acquisition of Quebec-based Dollarama and Hasbro in its acquisition of Wrebbit, a world-class Quebec-based puzzle maker), I have had the opportunity to advise M&A corporate executives in a number of high profile transactions on how to effectively tackle financial, legal and negotiation challenges to achieve their corporate objectives. Financial services investment banking and regulatory expertise: While representing global investment banks at Stikeman Elliott, Canada's leading international business law firm, notably on high profile cross- border offerings, I acquired deep insight into the Canadian banking regulatory environment, which was analyzed in contrast with the US and European banking regulatory environments. In addition, at RBC Capital Markets, working extensively in the FIG area, I developed a US life & P&C insurance M&A acquisition strategy for a leading Canadian insurance company in pursuit of a US expansion plan.
