Bio

Julie is Director of Global MBA programmes in the Centre for Global Learning and Executive Education. Julie returned to Durham University from Newcastle University where she was a Senior Lecturer. Previously she was at Durham University Business School for 5 years. Prior to this she worked in the corporate world for 20 years with companies such as PwC and the British Council. Julie has worked extensively in the academic and business world in the field of organisational change and development. She is an experienced management consultant, coach and a facilitator of individuals, groups and businesses facing change. Her areas of teaching and research expertise include: implementing and sustaining change in organizations; leadership branding and midlife women in business.


Julie is a founding Director of the Leading Well - a social enterprise which focuses on the development of leadership in Scotland.

Julie is a Senior Fellow of the Foundation for Management for Education (FME)

Specialties: Leading and sustaining change; Leadership in public and voluntary sectors; Midlife women in business; leadership and women.
