  • • Led four sector-wide changes in West Africa in the agriculture, sanitation, and infrastructure sectors.
  • • Created and managed high-influence partnerships with the Gates Foundation, the International Fund for Agriculture Development, the Canadian International Development Agency and UNICEF.
  • • As a member of the senior management team, I addressed issues of funding independence, staff turn-over, knowledge management, operational efficiency, mission renewal, growth scenarios and organizational culture.

  • • As first ever staff based overseas, I led a program reorganization to focus EWB’s problem solving ability on key development initiatives, while expanding the service offering to influence donor policies and program design.
  • • Managed a team of 15 consultants on four engagements in the small business development and appropriate technology sectors.
  • • Developed and maintained our regional partnerships with over 50 NGOs, governments and donors, including the UNDP (regional), World Bank (Ghana) and Shell Foundation.
  • • Created new processes for organisational diagnostics, intervention planning and impact measurement.

  • • Set-up 15 computer livelihood training centers across the Philippines, resulting in the training of 1,500 Filipino out-of-school youth annually, and an employment rate of 50-70% for graduates (sustained).
  • • Led a team of 12 volunteers, fundraised over $150,000 and 250 computers, created new training curriculum and managed local partnerships. This project won two international (UN-GKP) prizes.
