An MBA candidate with strong analytical and critical thinking skills that have stemmed from four years of managing engineering operations on container ships in the Merchant Navy. Proven record of ability to lead teams & to act calmly & decisively during emergencies faced at sea. Global exposure in over thirty countries with experience in interacting with law enforcement agencies and local business managers.
With a keen interest in operational efficiency, sustainability and green energy, worked as project manager in Advit Foundation for two years, planned and developed CSR models for clients and conducted energy audits that resulted in reduction of costs and increase in productivity.

  • Created and executed India’s first Solar Music Concert consisting of 10 shows spanning across 5 cities, having an outreach of over 100,000 people and included in the “ Road to Rio” series of CNN.
  • Decreased the energy consumption by 33 percent, of 12 apparel industries in North India through audits and suggested implications.
  • Implemented Solar energy based rural electrification for providing electricity to 50 rural homes.
  • Increased the footfall of India’s only functional Energy Park, through intense marketing and advertising efforts.
  • Planned and executed the city’s first book swapping event” Swap-and-Save” that promoted education and recycling and was attended by over 1000 people.

  • Formulated monthly fuel budgets of a million dollars every cycle. Carried out analysis and risk assessment as per International Safety Management system laid down by the International Maritime Organization.
  • Implemented modification in fuel system resulting in better fuel efficiency and saving of $175000 per ship per year.
  • Reduced accidents and near misses by more than 20 % by careful safety assessment and risk analysis.
  • Saved the life of two crew-members and prevented damage to machinery worth 10M $ from a raging fire on a container vessel.
