About Lancaster University Management School

The LUMS MBA, which just celebrated its 20th anniversary, is one of the best in the world for value for money, according to the FT. The School is ranked 24th in the world overall.

The MBA class at LUMS is kept small (90 students), so you'll get to know your year-group well. Students are thrown into consulting projects from the very first weeks, covering small firms, medium-sized regional firms and the likes of Apple and Vodafone during the summer internship.

Lancaster has a comprehensive range of postgraduate business programs, so there are opportunities to network with students in other business disciplines. It's particularly strong for hardcore finance and management science.

The School is located in a rustic spot outside the city of Lancaster. However the buildings are sleekly modern: the Business Faculties Leadership Centre opened in 2005.

Lancashire county has been an industrial center since the 19th century, when it manufactured 85% of the world's cotton. Today it is home to firms in sectors including defense and co-operative banking and nearby Manchester has some popular soccer teams.
