Since the CAT results in December 2022, MBA colleges across India have been processing applications. While many Indian Institutes of Management (IIMs) have closed their admissions, one prestigious school is still taking applications.

Interested? You will have to act quickly, as the deadline for application is 28 February. However the good news is that the application can be done online, so you have a small window of opportunity. Find out more about the school to decide if its MBA is for you.

What are the IIT Jodhpur MBA options?

IIT Jodhpur offers an MBA Program and an MBA-Technology degree.

The latter program is unusual in that it combines management and technology, providing students with a skillset that could help them succeed in an increasingly technology-driven business world.

The school also provides dual degree opportunities for students to earn full-fledged degrees from prestigious universities in the United States (such as the University at Albany—part of the State University of New York—and Brandeis) and other foreign partner institutions, which can give a valuable head-start to an international career.

Professor Sangeeta Sahney, Head of SME at IIT Jodhpur, says: “The IIT Jodhpur management course offers a well-rounded curriculum for doing MBA in technology. It is also about meeting the next generation of problem solvers.”

He adds that the school focuses on empowering and enabling a new generation of entrepreneurs, managers and academics.

What will you learn on the MBA?

During the first year of the MBA program, students take foundational courses in topics such as economics, HR/organizational behavior, analytics, business function, and law.

In the second year, they are given the option to choose between two tracks, which will lead them to either the MBA or the MBA Technology degree.

The MBA track covers many of the usual options to secure confidence in a business setting, such as marketing, finance, operations, strategy, HR and entrepreneurship. For those wishing to take the MBA Technology option, courses include Tech Application for Business, Tech Leadership, and Analytics and Data.
