Starting in the 2024-2025 academic year, Booth is offering a Master in Management degree for ambitious recent college graduates who studied humanities, arts, social sciences, biological sciences, or physical sciences in college, and are interested in jobs that value business-oriented skills and knowledge. Upon completion of the Master in Management Program, students will be prepared to excel at the start of their professional journey and have foundational frameworks to make an impact throughout their career. Booth’s 10-month program builds upon a student’s critical-thinking skills with an analytical course of study, preparing them for a broad set of careers. Students in the program learn the fundamentals of business by taking five required courses: Microeconomics, Financial Accounting, Business Decision Modeling, Behavioral Foundations of Management, and Data Analytics. To round out their education, students take four classes in one area of study of their choice: Analytics, Entrepreneurship, Finance, Marketing, or Strategic Management. Finally, students select one elective drawn from a variety of Booth courses. Prospective students may begin applying for admission to the program now, to begin studies in August 2024.
Also starting in the 2024-2025 academic year, Booth is offering a Master in Finance degree for accomplished recent college graduates searching for a master’s degree that allows them to start a career in finance with a competitive advantage over their peers. The curriculum strategically prepares students to master the transformative innovations that are disrupting the finance industry, including A.I., machine learning, blockchain technologies and applications, and big data.
Students in Booth’s Master in Finance Program take four core courses – Investments, Corporation Finance, Data Analytics and Financial Accounting – as a cohort, along with nine electives for a total of 13 courses. There are five finance elective requirements, and students choose the remaining four electives from a large subset of MBA courses. Students also have the option of tailoring their finance electives to match their career goals by choosing one of four areas of specialization: Asset Management, Investment Banking, Fintech or Research in Finance. The program includes immersive orientation programming focused on career exploration and advising, opportunities to specialize in an area that will help ensure that students standout in the job market, and the option to choose to complete the program in 15 months (the standard track) or 10 months (the accelerated track).
Prospective students may begin applying for admission to the program now, to begin studies in August 2024.
