My Experience On LSE's 'Alternative MBA'

My Experience On LSE's 'Alternative MBA'
Tim gives the lowdown on the highlights of the program, as well as where there's room for improvement.

Tim Montagu, a graduate from LSE's Executive Global Master's in Management, talks about his experience on the program and how he landed a top role in finance after it

Tim Montagu, a graduate from the London School of Economics' Executive Global Master's in Management (EGMiM), says the program helped him secure a job at HSBC.

With a background in public service, including 12 years in the UK Royal Navy, Tim  is a natural leader.

But traversing into business leadership, particularly finance, wasn't easy. A business degree dubbed the alternative to a traditional MBA certainly helped.

Tim explains how he felt he needed a strong academic degree from a good school in order to make the transfer into business.

The EGMiM stood out for its rigorous background on the nature and essentials of business, as well as the very diverse class.

It's not all perfect—Tim gives some  insight into where the program could improve, particularly with regards to helping students with their post-graduate careers.

Still, he wouldn't be where he was today without the program, he says.
