About ESMT

European School of Management and Technology (ESMT) was founded in 2002 aiming to be an international business school, based in Germany, with a distinct European focus. Three main themes are apparent in the course content and ethos at ESMT: Europe: Leadership and the Management of Technology.

With more than 25 corporate founders and benefactors (including big names such as BMW, Deutsche bank, McKinsey & Company and KPMG), ESMT offers their student body a range of work opportunities before and after graduation.

So what's it like to study at ESMT? Who best to explain than the students themselves:

"We spend most of our time either in our classroom on the second floors or in our group study rooms on the ground floor. Our classroom is unique! Its modernized interior contrasts with the view the famous Museum Island, located right in the heart of Berlin. From the large stylised windows, we behold the Berliner Dom, the Altes Museum and the iconic TV tower - an inspiring architecture to be enjoyed during our breaks. It is a shame we are not allowed to bring drinks to the class, or else we could just camp by the window and enjoy the landscape. When we are not in classes, we are mostly on the ground floor, where we have our group study rooms, lounge area with free drinks (coca-cola, coffee and chocolate) and fruits." MBA Blogs, Francisco.

The two types of MBA at ESMT

The Full-Time MBA (F-T MBA)

The ESMT MBA’s mission is to ensure the development of integrative leaders – leaders who unite the numerous perspectives required for an organization to grow. These are managers who know how to spot opportunities, share their vision, mobilize all the stakeholders’ energy behind that vision and elicit their support through fair, responsible and innovative leadership.

The Full-time MBA is designed for participants in their late-20s to mid-30s, who are ready to move from specialized management responsibility to broader business-wide leadership responsibility.

The Executive MBA (EMBA)

Launched in 2007, ESMT's Executive MBA program lasts 21 months and is held in English. Choosing the right MBA program is a critical decision, one that will shape your entire career. We have designed the ESMT Executive MBA to help you win in the global marketplace, where success is often rooted in technology and business innovation. This is why we focus on entrepreneurial action and leadership values – to help you enhance your capability to thrive in uncertain and culturally diverse environments, to build bridges across organizational boundaries and to mobilize people around a common challenge. Here you will develop a life-long network of high-caliber men and women who will support you throughout your career.

The Executive MBA targets participants who want to continue thriving in their job and their private life while earning a top degree and preparing to boost their career.
