Boston Consulting Group (BCG), one of the prestigious Big Three management consulting firms, was the top recruiter of students in the Postgraduate Program in Management (PGP) class of 2025 at Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Ahmedabad. 

IIM Ahmedabad ranks as the best MBA college in India, with a prestigious name that helps graduates from its PGP—an MBA-equivalent degree—land roles with top employers every year. 

During recruitment for the summer placement in 2023, which was conducted in hybrid mode, BCG made 22 offers to students, more than any other company. BCG participated within one of six cohorts of companies, each grouped by industry. 

BCG was part of the management consulting cluster, it was joined by the likes of Bain & Company, McKinsey & Company—two firms that comprise the rest of the Big Three—as well as Accenture Strategy, Alvarez & Marsal, and Strategy&. Members of the Big Four accounting and professional services firms, including PwC and KPMG were also among consulting recruiters.

Other recruiting groups included: niche consulting, advisory consulting, and cards and financial advisory. Investment banking and markets was also a key group, with the likes of Citibank, Morgan Stanley, Goldman Sachs, and HSBC among recruiters. 

In the private equity and venture capital cohort of companies, firms such as I-squared Capital, Faering Capital, and Piramal Alternatives employed IIM Ahmedabad students. In total, around 60 roles were offered by employers across the various groups.
