Learning how to rake up the cash: renowned US rapper Yo Gotti is switching the studio for an finance course in a top-ranked business school

If you think rap and business can’t mix, think again. Tennessee-based rapper Yo Gotti—famous for such songs 'Rake It Up' featuring Nicki Minajhas become one of the latest entrepreneurs to enroll at UCLA Anderson School of Management. 

Yo Gotti will study Corporate Valuation, taught by Professor Lori Santikan, the course aims to teach analytical tools for valuing various entities, such as corporations, IPOs, mergers and acquisitions, private firms, and debt.

By the end of the program, students can use their new evaluative skills to explore the impact of real options on investment decisions.

They also develop the skillset to produce comprehensive equity valuations, based on strategic and financial analyses. 

As the founder of the music label CMG and co-owner of D.C. United soccer team, Yo Gotti (whose real name is Mario Mims) already has some entrepreneurial experience under his belt. 

However, enrolling in UCLA, a top 20 business school according to US News, shows his desire to expand his business potential.
