Undertaking an internship during your master’s degree is a great way to gain experience and could even lead to a full-time job with top companies like EY, TikTok, or Morgan Stanley

For bachelor’s graduates with little or no work experience, stepping into the world of work can feel daunting.

You might be unsure where you want your career to go, or feel that your skills still need refining before entering today’s fast-evolving business landscape.

That’s why many business master’s programs offer internship opportunities, allowing students to gain experience at top companies and discover which industry they want to launch their career in.

In these sectors, top multinational firms such as Microsoft, EY, and Bain & Company regularly offer internships to students. Impress during your placement, and you could even secure a full-time role before you graduate.

8 top internships for business master's students

1. EY internship

One of the Big Four accounting and professional services firms, EY offers global internship opportunities that are relevant for business master’s students looking to gain hands-on experience in professional services.

Internships are typically available across EY’s main business areas—including consulting, assurance, tax, transactions, and strategy—as well as in functions such as business transformation, technology, and supply chain.

Opportunities such as these are an important part of many business master’s programs, as they give you the chance to put your in-class learnings into practice, while building your professional network.

2. Adidas internship

If you want to gain experience at one of the biggest sportswear brands in the world, then look no further than Adidas. Internships are available across offices in cities such as Amsterdam, London, Milan, Bogotá, and at the company’s global headquarters in Germany.

Adidas internship opportunities typically last around six months, and vary by function at each location. Some key internship areas include accounting and finance, eCommerce, marketing and communication, or supply chain management.

While eligibility criteria differ by location, most Adidas offices require interns to be enrolled at a university for the duration of the program, where you can leverage career services to prepare for these opportunities.

“You're not waiting until your final semester to think about jobs—career planning is integrated throughout our programs. We have dedicated career coaches, industry-specific programming, and a strong alumni network that's genuinely invested in helping current students,” says Emily Schatzle, director of admissions for master of science programs, University of Texas at Austin (UT Austin) McCombs School of Business.

3. Accenture internship

Global consulting and technology firm Accenture offers a wide range of internships for business master’s students. With offices in more than 200 cities, internship programs vary slightly by location, but all give students the opportunity to contribute to real business projects.

In India, where Accenture was ranked by LinkedIn as one of the top companies to work for in the country, internship opportunities are offered across strategy, consulting, technology, Song (digital experience), and digital engineering and manufacturing. 4. TikTok internship

Over the past six years, social media platform TikTok has taken the digital world by storm. During a TikTok internship, you could see behind the scenes in worldwide locations from North America to Asia-Pacific to Europe and the Middle East.

The company offers a wide range of internships for both bachelor’s and master’s students, as well as MBA candidates, across areas including advertising and sales, marketing and communications, corporate functions, product, technology, design, and global operations.

HEC Paris graduate Michael Salloum landed a TikTok internship working as a strategy associate during his Master in Management, where he worked across teams on market research and data analysis.

“I had the chance to see how a tech giant, like TikTok, competed with other major social platforms. I could really see the growth and development of such a big company from the inside,” says Michael.

5. KPMG internship

Big Four firm KPMG specializes in finance, tax, and technology consulting services. The company offers internship opportunities across audit and assurance, tax, advisory, and business support services.

For US students, programs include the Embark Scholars Program, which provides technical and professional development training across all KPMG service areas and supports students pursuing accounting or IT-related degrees.

KPMG was ranked the third-best accounting firm to work for by Vault, and master’s graduates who secure a full-time role with the company can expect a base salary of $110,000 per year.

6. Microsoft internship

A Microsoft internship can be a strong stepping stone toward a career in tech. Opportunities are available across the world—from Australia to Southeast Asia to Europe—and span areas such as finance, UX design, supply chain, and marketing.

Location can also influence the kind of experience you gain. Cities such as Austin, Texas are home to established firms such as Microsoft alongside a fast-growing startup scene.

“Austin is this amazing blend of established companies and startup energy. You have major corporations like Dell, IBM, and Apple, plus this incredibly vibrant entrepreneurial ecosystem. For students interested in tech, healthcare, or energy, you're right in the middle of where things are happening,” says Rodrigo Malta, assistant dean, MBA Marketing, Recruiting, and Admissions, UT Austin.

7. Morgan Stanley internship

US investment bank Morgan Stanley is ranked among the 10 best banks to work for in 2025, by careers platform, Vault.

With firms all over the world, you could land a Morgan Stanley internship during your master’s in cities such as Budapest, Paris, or New York. These include working in risk management, quantitative finance, or wealth management.

If your business master’s program includes a summer internship, or you just want to gain the experience yourself, Morgan Stanley also offers summer programs for students. Areas currently accepting applications include quantitative finance, investment management, operations, sales, and more.

8. Bain & Company internship
