Held over three days at the end of February, the tournament was closely contested with the four schools jostling for the winner’s trophy. The final saw Oxford Said go head-to-head with Lancaster, with Oxford securing an emphatic 5-0 victory.
Shaurya Aggarwal, Manchester Business School MBA and event organiser said: “We are thrilled that the tournament was such a great success – both on and off the pitch. It was an excellent way to network and build links between our schools. We will be back again next year and it’s our aim to make it bigger and better - watch this space!”
After the first day of matches, Manchester Business School treated everyone to an exclusive tour of Old Trafford - the Theatre of Dreams. MBS’ Edith Mitschnigg explains: “Visiting the hallowed pitch at Old Trafford was a fantastic experience. The Oxford Said Team definitely got some goal scoring inspiration by visiting the home of legendary players such as Wayne Rooney and Ryan Giggs!”
Alejandro Gomez Abente, Said Business School’s captain said: “Manchester Business School did an amazing job, organising this tournament for the first time. I hope this opportunity can be leveraged to create a new network of top UK business schools.”

A glittering award ceremony closed the tournament, with the champion’s trophy presented to Oxford by Manchester Business School’sMBA Director Professor Elaine Ferneley.
