A dozen women from Imperial College Business School's MBA class of 2010 and friends gathered at the Windows Bar on the 28th floor of London's Park Lane Hilton last Friday for some time off from the intense one-year program.

Organizer Claire Suo-Cockerton, from Canada, says that since Imperial doesn't have a dedicated women's club, she's keen to arrange some women-focused events over the next few months.

Coincidentally the drinks were the same day as London Business School's annual Women In Business in conference, which accounted for the lack of LBS women in attendance.

They missed a great group: enjoying cucumber cocktails and stunning views of London were a former marketing executive for NBC, a surgeon-turned-social entrepreneur and the founders of a cross-party forum for women who want to discuss politics.
