The reality star turned business mogul visited Harvard to provide a seminar intended to help MBA students with keeping up with the evolving business world

Kim Kardashian attended Harvard Business School on January 20th to give a two-hour guest lecture to students about the marketing secrets behind the success of her shapewear company SKIMS.

The talk was for a class at Harvard called Moving Beyond Direct to Consumer (DTC), according to Kim’s Instagram post. The Keeping Up With The Kardashians star writes that the purpose of the visit was to discuss the marketing, challenges, and wins behind the success of the $3.2 billion dollar shapewear empire.

Her business was used as a case study for the Harvard Short Intensive Program, which looks at direct-to-consumer businesses. She gave the talk alongside Jens Grede, her SKIMS co-founder and CEO.

“I’m so proud of Skims and the thought that it is a course being studied at Harvard is just crazy!” Kim writes via the Instagram post.

The Moving Beyond DTC course is offered to Harvard MBA students before the start of the Spring term. Previous guest lecturers have included Kevin O’Leary of Shark Tank and Bobbi Brown of Jones Road Beauty.

Kim—who is estimated to boast a net worth of $1.8 billion—is no stranger to the business world, having also launched her private equity firm SKKY Partners in 2022.
